CLS550 OEM spoiler installation
Hello, Buying my first Mercedes. Having inspection at dealer next Tuesday. 2007 CLS550 and only has 15k miles and supposedly rarely ever driven in rain even. We will see.
I went ahead and bought a OEM rear spoiler because I got a great deal on it. It has tape on the bottom, never been installed. My question is whether that is all that there is to it or do you also use some type of silicone to seal the edges.
I mean, if only the tape is used won't there be a small gap?

Most of the instructions that come with the 3M no drill spoilers suggest putting a nice bead of clear silicon through the middle (between the tape strips) of the spoiler.
