Regarding 2006 cls 500 sunroof
Question. To open the sunroof on this car do you constantly have to keep pressing the button over and over. When closing it closes with one press. But, to open I constantly have to press the button because it opens bit by bit.
Please let me know, thanks

Open the roof halfway to see how the roof window slides in the rails and inspect the rails for any debris clean if needed before lubricating. MB recommends grease part # 001989845110 (MSRP $20) or you can use Plastilube or white lithium grease but use as little as possible. Do not use WD40. Simple procedure however, if you would like instruction sheet PM your email address.

For some reason i woke up this morning and It works now with opening with one touch. Weird. I think i just might need lube. Everything electronically works on this car and its pretty much brand new. I just bought it with 32k miles.

The sun roof works like the windows. If you disconnect the battery , you have to reset all the windows by holding the button to close until the relay clicks. (Or the windows will not rest back into the rubber boots).
The sun roof will reset also by holding it to close , keeping the button pushed forward even until after closes. Wait 5 seconds (holding it in the closed position for 5 seconds) it will open with one click.
This will defiantly work I have done it on my car and 2 others.
Email me if you have problem indy1141@gmail.com.
Hope this helps.... Ed

Resetting works only on occasion, clean and lubricate the tracks. Something I should have done before mentioning the issue to Benz. Figuring under warranty they would do it for free, I was charged 3/4 hour labour for something I could have done (and enjoyed) myself. The tracks seemed clean but it was the lubrication that fixed it. (Wouldn't close all the way)
