19" AMG wheels and tires from a 2011 Mercedes SL63
He is refunding my purchase but I told him I would post here and ship them to someone from here instead of shipping to him and then he has to sell and ship them again.
I told him that I thought $1500 was a fair price considering the tires are Pilot A/S. You would have to deal directly with him though so if interested I will give you his number.

The seller is also now being difficult. Still not sure if he knew this ahead of time or not.
I pay for the wheels on 4/27. Ebay ad is still out there and has in bold letters that they are real OEM, Not fake. He has pictures of them front and rear. He even has pictures of the non-OEM numbers. I didn't know how to tell fake from real until a few days ago so what a mistake that was.
I get them in a couple of days and they appear perfect. No scratches, not a mark. Look like takeoffs as he said in ad. I send him a text that I am waiting on my car to arrive from Michigan and he says to send a pic. I opened one and put them in the corner of garage the first week in May.
Last weekend, I get them out to polish them since my CLS is here. I turn them around to do the barrels and I see no merc identifications. After talking with people here I find that they are fake. I send him a text and he says that he bought them on Ebay and he was unaware that they were fake. He says that he will work with me to fix it.
I am feeling bad for him and do more research hoping to help him sell them. I even posted ads here. I find out that Ebay has Buyer Protection which I know nothing about and I am 43 days since I paid. I file a claim and send him a text explaining that there is a 45 day limit.
Now it turns bad. He replies to Ebay saying that I should have returned them at my expense within 2 weeks. Because I waited a month after receiving them he feels that I should own them. We return messages back and forth and he keeps claiming that they are OEM even though his pictures on the Ebay ad are still there and they clearly show that they are fake.
I have to formally dispute it to Ebay tomorrow after we waited the 3 days to settle it. Then they have 48 hours to decide. When I get my money back I hope that they don't think that I am paying to ship these back.
I am reading online that I also have the option of a credit card dispute because I paid Ebay/Paypal/Credit card. I guess I will wait for the Ebay response first.

I would be furious...
Guys lesson learned, even with PayPal they want you to pay for shipping back.. Totally insane... Totally mislead you and they want you to pay for shipping... B.S.
Been in something similar before... Almost flew to Florida !!! Seller changed his mind and credited me enough to make me satisfied. PayPal is funny sometimes..
DjRabbi good idea, PayPal only wants a tracking number... Smart move.

Well, no. Surprise today that Post Office knocks on my door and the tires are in the truck. They have yellow labels Returned. The Seller obviously is going to try to claim that he was gone or something and never knew that the post office was trying to deliver these to him for 14 days. The Post Office was cool because they said that I didn't pay for 2 way shipping and they could have made me pay $200 to get them back which I wouldn't have done.
So I now have these back, I have my money back, and I think ebay is the only one out 3k at this time. How long do you think I need to hold onto these? I guess I should contact ebay? Trust me, I am not shipping them again.
Save your shipping paper work. To show that you tried shipping them back..
What the the state and town of this flake ?
I was in contact with eBay via the dispute and warned them that he did not accept the first delivery attempt. They said that they would deal with him and refunded my money. I watched it hit my credit card a few days later. Now two weeks later the wheels are back.
I assume eBay will go after him and he will claim that he was on vacation or something. Too bad. If he wants them now he is paying. He is in biloxi ms.
I will be selling them once the right amount of time has passed. Maybe 6 months? Teh last thing that I need is someone holding me accountable if he comes after them in a couple of months.
Just a fyi that the wheels showed up at my house a few days ago. The Seller obviously avoided the delivery in an attempt to not pay. I received my refund so I assume this is between the Seller and Ebay or the Seller and Paypal?
I was able to convince the US Post Office not to charge me an additional $200 since my payment only covered one way shipping. How long do I need to keep them before I donate them to Goodwill? They have a process where they Ebay items and use the funds for good things like helping people which would be rather ironic considering this situation.
I manually measured the et with tires on and got very close to et35 on front and back. That would require 10mm spacers to run good on a w219 cls and maybe only a 10mm spacer on the front to run on a w218. SL too I guess. These are high quality replicas but probably not worth much. The tires are good but not near new. I need one of those cool little tools to measure the depth.
