Airmatic problems?

Airmatic problems?
Hello,
Last night while driving home, the "car rising, please wait" message came on. Then it was followed by a "stop car, vehicle too low". I pulled over and took a look and the front passenger side of the car is low (to the tire). It was only a couple of miles from home so I limped it. The messages took turns coming on. When I got home, I jacked up the front end and as it went up I heard air escaping. Can I assume it's the airmatic shock? I made sure the air pump wasn't continually recycling. Thanks for any input.

Changed out the strut with an Arnott unit, works great! It was really straight forward with a single bolt on the bottom, three nuts and an air line up top, and a couple of electrical connectors. Only thing you need to remember before installing new strut is to place strut on top of engine, hook up electrical connector, and connect/disconnect battery 10-15 times to bleed down new strut so it can be compressed for install. Took about 1.5 hours but the next time it would be half the time.

Unfortunately, it comes with air in it. They say they keep them filled to prevent damage to the bladder. Just do what he said about setting the strut on the motor with the electrical connector attached and connect/disconnect the battery until the system bleeds enough air to get the strut in.
