CLS 350 V6 petrol -2004- (HP 272): Oil consumption
Unfortunately, my CLS started to eat a lot of oil (1 liter/600 km) and I plan to disassembly the engine. (Almost run 300 000km) Can you help about the following:
In case the engine block (cylinders) has any damage or worned-out what is the best way to manage renewal?
Is there a Nicasil coating in cylinder surface or some other?
Pistons, rings, etc... are available for bigger stealing?
Hope only cyl head has to be renewed, but would like to be prepared if any engine block problem arise.
Thanks all advises and feedback

Do you get the following oil level warning:
"Add 1 liter of engine oil on next refueling".
Do you have any error codes? Are you sure the oil is not leaking?

Yes, I get that message and always refil. No other malfunction message appears. We also checked the engine (outside) and there is no oil at all.
On the other hand the end of the exhaust looks dark and dirty.

Any news on the oil consumption? Did you find/fix the issue?

Hi,
Cyl head has been removed and we saw that the Nicasil coation is damaged. It could be repared, but cost a lot. We are looking for a used engine with good condition.
I'm open to receive offers for used engine or if anyone has any other suggest how to solve this issue.
Thanks,
András
