2006 cls 500
Need advice
I'm looking for help. I am interested in buying a 2006 cls 500 with 77,000 miles. Is this a wise decision? Do these cars and year have a lot of issues? How do they perform when they reach the higher mileage? Your assistance is greatly appreciated!!

I just purchased an 06 with 84k miles. I did a lot of research before I did..also make sure to get one at a low price and with proper maintenance records.
From the 219s that I looked at, common problems were
Airmatic suspension
leaky valve cover gaskets
gas smell interior (fuel sending unit and fuel pump)
keyless entry door handles not working properly
engine and trans mounts
the suspension is probably the biggest issue on these vehicles equipped with airmatic. I believe there are some with transmission issues as well. make sure it was serviced at 40k and its due again at 80k. you are planning on purchasing one that will require some work at 80-100k...valve cover gaskets, engine and tranny mounts, tranny fluid, spark plugs/wires, etc.
