Sprint Booster works
Hello all, I've had a 2008 CLS550 since July 2013. The car is a rocket but you REALLY had to push the gas pedal down to make it move. It made it feel quite ponderous, like it is a heavy luxury automobile. Ordered and received a Sprint Booster and installed it in an hour or so. Most difficult part was removing and re-installing the under dash cover. Now afterwards I don't think I had to do that as I still ended up unbolting the pedal (10mm socket) to get at the electrical socket.
On green or red setting, the Benz is LIVELY! Red setting definitely the most aggressive but not crazy. I switch it back to normal occasionally and back to the ponderous, heavy car feel. Set it for green or red and I swear it takes a thousand pounds off the car.
Was it the best $300 I ever spent? No, but for me it was worth it for bringing the car to a new level of lively-ness in normal driving.

Do you have to find a shop to install this? Not sure if there's one in my area. Also, what makes a bigger difference, an ECU tune or this?
whyask's car also seems to have an ecu tune and he's happy w/ the sprint booster as well so I assume it does.

yeh with the tune and quick boost the car is a ROCKET , no joke ! ive had very high HP cars in the past but with the combo of tune and sprint booster it makes a nice differnce! Usally keep it off the "red" setting and cruise around in the green setting ! The red will spin ur tires at every light lol

I bought mine direct. Firmware was fully up to date... other places???
Anyways, still enjoying the much better drive-ability.
ps-didn't help going up the driveway in the snow, had to fire up the fully locked 85 Toyota 4x4 PU (diesel) to get to work this week.
