Starting without brake pedal

Hi folks,

Anyone else out there able to start their 219 without pressing down the brake pedal?

I discovered that mine does.

Nope, just the standard setup. On my BMW 6-er I could enable this with software coding, so I would assume that the same is possible with STAR. Since the car is under maintenance plan with Mercedes I think the previous owner requested this, since any unofficial modification would void the warranty and maintenance plan.

Either way, I don't even think about it since it is like second nature for me to depress the brake pedal when starting the car.

That should be normal. I start mine all the time without pressing the brake pedal. The brake interlock prevents you from shifting out of "Park" unless brake pedal is pressed, actually fairly firmly in mine. Car shouldn't start unless it is in Park or Neutral.
