Erratic Transmission Behaviour
Hi folks,

Took my first long drive with the CLS yesterday, around 600km. Around halfway the transmission went into what I think is limp mode, IE no acceleration from low speed and stuck in 3rd gear. Stopped at a gas station, turned the car off and on again and all was fine.

Earlier we went for a drive, and the car started fine, but when pulling away from a red light the transmission was stuck in 1st gear. Again...stopped at the next light and restarted the car and all was fine.

2007 CLS500 with 7G-Tronic and just over 83000km.

Want to also add that there was no problem with acceleration with Cruise Control engaged.
