CLS320CDI 2007 gear shift problem when cold.
Hello,
I have CLS320CDI 2007 with 80.000 Km on it.
Where I live, temperature in the morning is between -2 and 3 degrees celsius currently.
Every morning when I turn on the car, and for the first 10 minutes of driving I am having this problem, as soon the car warms up problem will dissapear.
When I am breaking down, and when shifter goes from 2 to 1 speed, car will wince once. It only happens when I am slowing down ( wants to stop on redlight or stop sign for example ).
I changed transmission oil and filter but problem is still there.
Diganostic is saying that everything is fine.
Any ideas ?

MBUSA released bulletin P-B-27.00/87b software update resolves OM642 transmission flare 1-2 and/or upshift in cold condition. Check your PM.

if i understand correctly everything is ok with my transmission, i only need to do software update ?
if i don't do it, can this issue cause damage to my transmission, or I can live with it normally ?
thanks

Have someone with MB DAS check for stored fault codes this will definitively diagnose problem and give peace of mind. If, in fact, it is not mechanical software update is optional - if not performed should not cause any damage.
