pictures posted in this thread make the car look way nicer IMO than the ones of the production silver car...besides the wheels, anyone notice other differences?

HATE IT!
I think MBZ has missed the mark on this platform, especially trying to "Brainwash" the customer into thinking this Sedan is a Coupe. Rather I personally like it or not, it will not sell well and be dropped or replaced sooner than any other Mercedes platform in the History of Mercedes. It is not a coupe and Bangled or not the BMW 645i Coupe and Convertible will out sell it handily. There is no market for a Sedan between the E-Class and S-Class models. Once the initial sales and the oddity wears off the sales will wear off. Mercedes should be building volume platforms and not niche platforms. MBZ sales for 2004 will be pitiful because they have no showroom draw. What is new for 2004. BMW has the X3 and the 6-Series to generate traffic for 2004.
It does not look like a Mercedes and is just too damn odd. It looks like an Olds Aurora, and Lexus ES300 and the upcoming GS platform.

Those headlight are fugly! Also it looks like the doors come up too high, there is too much door and not enough window, making the tires look really small compaired to the rest of the car. I do like the way the back of the car looks, i wont buy one. I think MB is just trying to be as radical with thier design as BMW is with thiers
