Looking at a 2006 MB CLS 500
I am looking at a 2006 MB CLS 500,used car dealer has it and is in pretty good shape. All I know he had transmission work done to it and did mention this to me.Transmission works fine.New tires and brakes front and rear also.Clean inside and out,no rust anywhere on it with 75,000 miles on it.I love the car and did test drive it,drove nice.Only problem I found was hearing a miss under acceleration and the service engine light is on,a misfire code is probally stored. He wants $21,000.00 for it and I tried to budge him down to $19,000.00 for.He counter offered $20,000.00 for it and will have the miss fixed.I may take this offer and really like it giving him the call tomorrow.Good Price?

Good for him BAD for you. Think about this, you got problems before you even own the car. When its yours and 2 months down the line when the dash starts to look like a Christmas tree you are gonna be broke spending $$$ to fix it. 1 corner suspension is roughy $500-750 to fix...keep that in mind.
My friend in LA has an 06 with 51k blk/blk Sport, rear and front carbon diffuser, 20" wheels lowered and blacked out for the same price and his car is babied since he is a full time wrencher at Audi dealer. Looks brand new.

Called me this morning and said the misfire has been fixed.Had a PO302 stored in the computer which is a #2 cylinder misfire,it was a bad coil. The spark plug is brand new.The receipts for the repairs from the previous owner were in the trunk, taken care of very well. The dash is in great shape.
