Transmission problem P2716
Hello my car had a hard down shift when I was driving today. After that it went into limp mode. I work at a shop so we plugged it in and it says P2716.
Replace pressure control solonoid
after I clear the code the tranny comes out of limp mode till the first down shift.
SAME CODE Again.
Is this a part we can change here? We don't do much to Mercedes here, but this really scares me.
Has anyone had any experience with this problem?
I am buying the part tomorrow when the dealer opens.
its $250.00
I have watched lots of videos on how to replace it.
Is their anyone with experience with this problem??

Ok there are 2 different solenoids
So the dealer told me there are 5 solenoids 2 different types "Black cap and Blue cap" I didn't get to it today, we were really busy. But as soon as I can I'm going to open it up take out the valve body and test the solenoids to see which one is faulty.

Ok, so i took it to an German transmission mechanic here in phoenix. I asked him to change the solenoid. He did some work testing my transmission, and discovered it to be the TCM Transmission Control Module was faulty. So $400 for the unit and $400 for labor and fluids.
It works great, like brand new. Now I just need to get new mounts some time..
