I got the part 2118209485 but I don't see too many of them around. Could I put a different part number but from the same car and have no problem?

The car was built with--211 820 57 85, then revised to 94 85, then was revised to 211 870 43 26,then revised to 57 26 and the current part is 211 870 39 85!!

Therefore any of those numbers will work just fine---the issue will be finding someone with DAS to remove the faults once you disconnect the old unit and replace with one listed!!

No---because the fault is created when you disconnect the control module---other modules pick up the message of a disconnect---and it is that fault that can only be cleared by DAS or and equal!!

Oh okay, how about if the module was disconnected if the car battery is disconnected? Will a code be stored still?

Sorry about that, i was doing two things at once. I was saying that, if i buy a used one that needs to be reset and i send it to a company that can clear the code...I'll be good to go?
