hi all,


my 2007 cls500 is having a problem...
my key will unlock the doors and lock it but when I get into the car and attempt to turn on the car the key wont turn at all,
almost like if the steering wheel was locked but its not..
for some strange reason I pressed on the lock button and turned the key and the car started but only the engine, no lights dash or anything worked.
I turned the car off after taking advantage of it starting I parked it properly.
I noticed something moved around when shaking the fob, can this be the fob is bad??

Assuming you have good voltage------You either have a bad key or a bad ignition module!!

I shook the key and I hear something shaking inside of it, I also read that in supposed to see a flash coming from the tip or laser eye when pressing a button and I don't see it doing so, im assuming its the key...

I would say you found your problem!!

yup, just opened up the key and the little spring on the tip is broken/fell off, smh
time for a new key.
