Are these fake brakes?
I just had some new brakes shipped to me from pelican parts because the first batch I ordered were defective and I am wondering if these are genuine mercedes brakes. Many things indicate to me that they may be either fake or not genuine oem. For one they come in a brown box with a sticker on it that says mercedes and the part number 005-420-95-20-41-M111... it also indicates made in united states.
The brakes inside the box have weirdly shaped benze logos and have the marking 07.8175.52 N555H BREMBO. I was not aware brembo was an oem supplier of mercedes brakes or that they made their product in the united states. I am not sure if these are even brembo brakes to be honest. Another thing that strikes me as odd is that the shims already have brake paste applied.. is this something normal? Here are some pictures of these brakes.

Received replacement brakes and got the same exact thing, package... pads... preapplied paste. I've ordered from this place a lot in the past and they seemed fine does anyone know of any issues with them. Pelican Parts? I believe they are the same as Peach Parts.

Yea I was able to speak to a dealer who confirmed they are using brembo pads currently as their oem supplier. I've still never seen new pads come with brake paste already applied... was this the case on your pads as well?
