I have a 2006 CLS500 bought used in 2013 w/91K miles. Currently has 118K miles. Never had any issues (other than AC not blowing hard but it DOES cool somewhat, took to dealership the couldn't find anything wrong. Did an AC "flush" and returned car to me) but I digress......

Don't drive it very much so sometimes I get the message "battery low some convenient functions may not work". That's fine, after I drive it for a day or so this message goes away and everything works fine.

So today I took the car out, approximately 5 miles to work. No problem, drove fine. On the way back home, I stopped at a store. When I came back out and started up I got the above message. Looked it up in user manual but googled and see quite a few people saying this could mean batteries need to be replaced. I would go w/this BUT.....the power steering went out. I could barely steer the vehicle, had to fight w/it. AND the AC which was on high shut COMPLETELY down. What does this sound like? Is it safe to drive it approximately 45 miles to the nearest dealership?
