Help! Car starts but dies after 10 seconds
Hi all,
I drive a Cls55 2006, and the car has behaved herself throughout.
A couple of weeks ago I start the car and get into gear and the car dies. I mean it tried to idle but sputters and dies. Sent car to my regular wshop and they say the fuel pump is not getting signal from the ecu ( the hard wired the fuel pump to 12v and all was good) we've tried swapping out ecus but same thing. Changed the fuel pump and also the same problem.
Any thoughts?

If the car runs fine with the fuel pump hot wired and you swapped ECU's than you have to check that the ECU is getting all the proper input signals so the ECU will command the fuel pump to operate. I own a repair shop and would never hot wire a fuel pump. Swapping ECU's and a fuel pump sounds like they are just throwing parts at the car and dont really know what is wrong
