Lowering CLS Airmatic with Washers?
I’ve read and seen a picture guide on this but it was E Class related. The theory is to put a washer between the bracket and suspension arm to change the ride height reading on the sensor.
Today I tried to fit the washers on the front bracket, but after removing the nuts on the front suspension arm the ball joint bracket still didn’t come off, does anyone know if this is spot welded when fitted for ease of assembly?
P.s. I’m not just some bloke who’s useless with a spanner, I’m an ex-Mercedes-Benz diagnostic technician & worked on these cars when they were new. The bracket won’t come off.
Cheers
