So after 6+ years of faithful service, the time has come to part ways with my beloved 2006 CLS 500. My first foray into MB ownership has been wonderful, and I am now looking forward to many fun and exhilarating years with my 2012 CLS 550. My '06 has really been a gem to own with extremely minor issues that my local European auto specialist has been able to handle at reasonable costs. Biggest ticket items have been tires (and 1 new rim when I found the edge of a concrete divider) and brakes. It is true that this beast likes to eat brakes, but they have never failed me (despite being the electronic controlled system). Made only 1 "aftermarket" modification with tinted windows to Virginia specs. Love the look with the darkened windows. Think I will be doing the same on my '12.
Now it is time to find a new home where my '06 will be loved and cherished...and run hard b/c she does like to haul a#@ around the beltway!
