How to pull darn cam gear off?
07 CLS550 doing cam sprocket replacement. Have front covers off valve covers. Left top valve covers on because it just seemed like a pain. This isn’t helping my situation because it gives me less room.
Removed pulse wheels. Easily got to one of the bolts holding on timing cover. Tried the second one and probably can get to it with a second swivel but thought to pin and remove gear to make it simple.
What’s the trick? Wiggling back of cam, wiggling pin on gear. It doesn’t seem to budge.
