You have just drastically changed the flow of air coming though your intake from eliminating the restriction (ie, the straight pipe removes restrictions). Now your Air-Fuel ratio is drastically changed, and your engine performance is non-optimal. The only thing you can do is get your ecu tuned to restore/increase performance. My past 2 Mercedes I have had tuned by Eurochanged.com. You buy a kit and do it yourself. Let me know if you have any questions.
What I am SURPRISED about is that a muffler delete caused such a drastic change in airflow. It was my understanding that our stock mufflers were free flowing.

Can you imagine how loud this would be with all resonators and mufflers removed? Wow.
This makes me wonder though. People put electronic cutouts in their exhaust so go from mufflers to none in a switch. They done have on the fly tuning. What is done there?
