Hello all. This is my first post so please take it easy on me. LOL
(Yes I searched before I posted)
I bought a 2006 CLS500 had it for 2 days and ive been fighting the red battery light.STILL the Battery light is ON!!
It has a new alternator. new rear battery and a new front battery. The light comes on occasionally then goes away. Now it seems like its here to stay UNLESS i find the real culprit.
Is there a Fuse connected to the charging system that I might be missing?
What am i doing wrong here?
See attachment for a better understanding of two-battery system (211 same for 06 CLS). Before replacing additional parts have someone do a quick test using MB DAS (MB diagnostics).
Is this mounted on the firewall? Near the AUX battery?
Where is the N82 Location?
I have seen in other Mercedes models that its under the passenger footwell carpet.
So after a quick search ive found...
These are not my photos. i do not take credit for these photos..
I hope it will help other forum members. I have been wrestling with this issue for the past few days.
I will be changing /checking out these parts and hopefully just changing a couple fuses to get back on the road.
The removal of the mat and checking these fuses turns out to be a dead end. These fuses and all of the others under the passenger side floor mat are good.
