How DIY friendly are the CLS
Hi all ! so my wife want's to get a C219 most likely 2009-2011, what a sensual car! the shape is just wow! I've had many 90's era Mercedes and I've done all the work on them myself with great success , I have a huge tool box with all the goodies for those cars, what do I need to add to my tool box for the CLS? code reader? software? etc
Thanks !
Thanks !

Hi, have one for 2 years now, very happy with it, I do everything (almost ) ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
My engine is OM642, 3.0V6, with AIRMATIC
The car is based on modules, so you can change what is wrong and just go.
The parts and maintenance were pretty expensive (not to scare you), acceptable for this type of car.
I bought a STAR system (with C5) from ebay and I think it is the best investment for now. It helped me a lot on my long trips, never drive witout it.
