A few days ago my car stopped recognizing the fact the light switch is in AUTO mode. When I turn the light switch to AUTO the headlights do come on. When I turn the car off, the dash says "SWITCH LIGHTS TO OFF" and if I just shut the door and lock them, the lights do not go off where as before they did. Can anyone help with this? This started after I unplugged the battery to do some work to the car and it seems that it has reset somehow.
Thank you for the information! I was able to fix it by pulling the knob outward and pressing it back in. Don't know if that's something thats supposed to happen but it find my issue.
