I would definitely recommend the one at this link. It does not show your car as a match on our site but it definitely fits perfectly. You will still need those V6 E Class lower control arms

So haven't made much progress with the holidays and all but I did just place an order for a new radiator, oil change kit, and some other pieces from FCP Euro. Once those come in and I get that radiator swapped out i'll be moving on to the next phase which is suspension.

The BC racing set up is about $1500 so it'll take a little time to put that cash together. I did try to see about going with a spring set up from an 08 E350 but piecing everything together will run about a couple hundred bucks less than just going with the kit (from what i can see) so i'm just going to bite the bullet and go with the BC set up.

I also found a few spots here in town that refinish wheels and the prices weren't too bad, problem is that money will take away from the cash im putting together for the coilover set up so i might invest in some tools to give refinishing them a shot myself. If i like the results i'll keep going, if not, no harm no foul. i was going to send them off to refinish anyway. so we'll see how that goes.

Ok folks. Still not much progress on the car as of yet. Still stacking up parts. I did buy the W211 lower control arms for the rear. I have a new radiator and all new gaskets for the oil filter housing ad oil cooling. Also this car did not come with a single inner fender on neither the front or rear so those are in as well. I’m waiting to get the coilovers which won’t be long.

also I have been slowly but surely cleaning up the rims. I’ll post pics later. It’s been a pretty tedious and labor intensive process so I went ahead and ordered some dip dissolver from DYP. I’ll let y’all know how that turns out.

in the mean time here is a sad pic of how she sits currently.

Sounds like progress is being made!
Make sure no birds or mice nest in the car.

I got some dip dissolver from DYP and it worked on the parts that have actual dip on it....turns out the the inner barrels are actually painted and not dipped. So i may just get as much as i can off with the dissolver and just repaint.

So im still looking into what my options are as far as suspension.

Has anyone ever tried to swap out the rear suspension with these? Theyre for an E320 and E350 for $300 it looks like something im willing to at least gamble on to see if its a viable solution.

Thanks, only problem is that during the radiator install it leaked out alot of the trans fluid. And now i have to fill it back up which seems like i need a pump for that.

You do not need a pump. You just have to get the fluid in there on refill. Google video how to use one of the bottles and compressor. You will need to go to hardware store and make up a threaded insert and shutoff valve. Pretty easy.

However you will need to get a temp sensor to know when to open the valve and when fluid stops coming out you shut it off and seal it.

Good videos on this online.

Long time no post. Life has happened and havent had a chance to update. I'll post some pictures soon but so far the suspension has been converted. I ended up getting a Arnott Spring conversion kit. It went on pretty easy so the suspension is sorted as of now. I have everything i need to do a full trans fluid replacement so thats the last piece. before i can turn it on and actually drive it.

i'll keep ya'll updated.

I bought a CLS 55 AMG with a salvage title for 3500. Same deal broken front bumper and side skirt. Airmatic was toast and 10 dash warnings.
the project was far more expensive to get up then what I was expecting.

I took the same route and converted to coils via the strutmaster kit. Patched the broken body work and arm wrestled with the trans, 13 pin and conductor plate. The last issue Ive had to run down was a faulty abs/esp module. Next is a cracked AC Condenser. I too had a coolant/ trans fluid leak. I'm glad to see other folks working hard to keep these cars alive. Happy hunting and good luck.

very interested In any knowledge you could share with me about the fuel system if you know anything at all about it. Got one of my own and not getting fuel delivery. Swapped pump and sending unit, fires up when I spray starting fluid in the manifold but won’t stay running. Been told there’s an in line filter somewhere but can’t find it or anything about it online.
