Headlight autoleveling module location
Hi,
The autoleveling on my CLS has stopped working on both sides and after reading this forum this may be caused by a defective autoleveling sensor. I have just not been able to find the location of this module.
Could someone point me in the right direction please? There are a number of replacement modules i can buy but wanted to check first if it is the right type
Thanks!

Best I could do, EPC diagram. Consider checking axle sensors first, easily damaged.

Pulling codes should detect malfunctioning CU, level sensors, and range adjustment modules @ each headlamp. Steadfast on not pulling codes and replacing parts begin with level sensor inspections, move on to CU. Odd that both headlamp modules, and internal motors and/or more than one level sensor will malfunction simultaneously but warrants inspection. In addition, if you have not already done so, check f52 @ front SAM (engine compartment) for CU, f66 for headlamps.

I checked the fuses and they are ok. No error codes with MAxiECU program i have. Have tried to find the CU under the passenger seat but cannot seem to locate it. FRom the diagram it should be there right?

Wow, looks like a project on its own to replace that control unit if i have to take the seat out! And it needs a STAR recalibration? Hmmm, i'd better go to an indy to have this checked i guess...
