hydraulic lifters cls500 m113 v8
recently started hearing a tapping sound on cold start when I first switch on the engine, after driving a few minutes it goes away, during the warmup as I drive when I accelerate the noise goes away but as soon as I lift off the accelerator I can hear it ticking/tapping then when the engine is warm it goes away and it does not come back until after the car has parked overnight, next morning the same thing again.
I was replacing valve cover gaskets today and notice one side of the rockers is clean and one side has a little red tint to it, so I was checking the rockers and found out one is not moving, all have a slight play side to side movement which is normal, please see the video to fully understand what is going on
is that red tint normal? and is that one rocker supposed to be solid and not moving? if there is an issue then how can I go about fixing it?
