Heating system shutoff valve problem
Hello,
This is my first post![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have following error with Xentry:
9027 component m16/32 (Heat exchanger shutoff motor) is faulty or the lead has open circuit in the wiring (P0115)
What I tried to do:
1. Replaced control valve with a new one (OEM);
2. Tested M4 connector of the SAM (pin 9-12), it reads 50 ohms.
3. Fuse 57 is OK
4. Relay 1kR is OK (replaced with brand new OEM)
But it still reads same error...
5. Replaced engine coolant sensor (because of P0115 error code) - same again, it says "open circuit...".
Then:
Tested from SAM Acuations: valve works;
When testing from the ME control unit and trying to activate component Y16/2 - it does NOT work.
Can this be caused by bad L9997ND chip in the SAM?
Thanks.

So I know it's been 3 years since you've had the issue with Y16/2 Code P0115 0407, were you ever able to resolve the issue? I have same going on in my 2006 C230.
Thanks

new valve was defective, just replaced it with a good one, then cleared the code and it is ok since then.
