Keyless Go System Not Working
Hey all, I'm working on a new to me 2006 CLS500, I don't have SDS but I do have a Snap On Ethos Pro that I can use to pull modules and read OEM codes. I can't seem to figure out why the keyless go system isn't working, none of the door handles will lock or unlock the car and the push start doesn't work either. Car starts perfectly fine with the key though. Also when I turn the car off it'll beep don't leave key for quite a while so I'm assuming it's clearly an issue of the car not detecting the chip in the key. I've already tried replacing the battery in the key but no luck, other than the keyless go functions not working everything else on the key fob works fine, locks and unlocks doors and pops the trunk. I did some searches but a lot of threads were just dead ends without the op posting the solution.

You may have an aftermarket key or like the valet / secondary key. You'll need to get a key from factory, which is like $600–$700. Locksmiths can't program Keyless Go keys for Mercedes with the push-start on the gear selector.
I just purchased a key a few weeks back at the dealer. Once you get the key, you put it in the ignition, turn to ACC 1 and it will say please wait (Self-Programming) which can take a few minutes to several hours.
