CD changer won’t open

2006 CLS 320 and a 2008 C220 estate
CD changer won’t open
vehicle is a 2006 CLS 320
Looking for an assist please. My CD changer has decided it won’t open. I haven’t changed them in a while and decided to today. Pressed the silver button under the hazards and it won’t open. The changer is still fully operational but simply won’t eject, any ideas?
One other thing, I’ve just changed from an iPhone 11 to a 12 pro max and that won’t connect either, I had no issues with my other one. Again I would be great full for any ideas
