Just ordered a CLS 350

I have just ordered a fully loaded CLS 350 with 18" multi spoke alloys. I chose white with black nappa leather and matt laurel wood. the car is expected to arrive 3rd week of january.

The problem i have is i am doubting the car and the color i have chosen. I dont know why it might be because i have never seen the car in reality. I have two weeks to change any options or color.

I think it will look great. Very rare combo, very classy looking! What options are available on the CLS?

Can you get a AMG aero pakage for the CLS 350 or CLS 500 that would look like the CLS55?

Yes u can get AMG body styling and rims for the car at an extra cost.

I think the CLS options are similar to the rest of the mercedes cars options at least thats what the dealer told me and because of the small price difference i decided to go for the full option pack to include everything in the car.

2012 CLS
I think thats a very brave choice of colour but one that will work well given the shape of the CLS. It'll certainly make a statement.

In the past I have always played it safe with my Mercs and got Silver - but the CLS will be black. (3rd quarter 2005)

It is an imposing looking car and they work well in black or white.

Both colours are now relatively rare in the UK - I note that this is not the case in the US.

Good luck

Marc

Purchased a place on the waiting list....

I just ordered a CLS 350- or at least the place on the waiting list!! My dealer has just 20 cars allocated to him from March 2005 to March 2006 and I have purchased number 18. UK Dealers have no specs or brochures yet. I saw it in a dealer in Berlin and drove it there - I have pictures of it in the show room if any one wants - and a German Brochure!!
It will replace my W211 which will be 2 years old by the time its delivered.

Where did you get a list of options from

My dealer only has a little brochure that does not give much detail and he has no other info. How did you get the option information and color selecton??

From the European Spec (German Market) our UK cars are not much diiferent particularly if you compare the W211 offerings in European markets. The German market cars will have all the options I require - COMAND, AirmaticDC, Phone kit, Harmon Kardon etc. It looks as if the 500 will have most of the kit as standard, the 350 will have to have some of these as options and specs for the V6 diesel will mirror the 350 petrol. I have purchased an unbuilt car - I do not have to specify it until its build date is evident so I will make the choice then - 500 with all goodies standard but ruinous fuel consumption, 350 at lower cost but requiring some serious loading with the contents of the options list and more tolerable fuel consumption for these shores or the unknown quantity of the 350 diesel. I have the W211 320cdi at present so I have no qualms about putting the the new V6 diesel in with the 7G 'box - it on paper should be a good match of power, performance and economy. My dealer is keeping me posted as they get prelaunch information.
