Airmatic Issue

Just arrived home for lunch and when i stopped the car and took the key off i heard a noise coming from the Compressor waited a couple of minutes and nothing still working. What i did was to open the trunk and disconnected the battery compressor stopped. When i came back connected the battery again and everything was working fine it does all 3 positions and elevation too. Any idea what could have triggered this out? Didn t connect it to Xentry but i will was wondering if anyone has a thought.

I know this is a late response but I just experienced a similar issue. The compressor ran for an excessive amount of time and I unplugged the battery for it to stop.
Reconnectrd the battery, everything was good again for another week. The compressor would kick on but not build enough air pressure to raise the car. So every time I'd open the door or trunk the car would level itself by lowering the highest corners until eventually I got the warning "car is to low, pull over".
In my case, the compressor was shot. It would run but not build enough air pressure. Only around 100psi. It threw a code for air leaks also but it was only the compressor.

The only reason for the compressor to run continuously would be a leak, stuck relay or compressor going bad.

In your case I would #1 check the relay in the engine compartment just incase it's sticking first. #2 see if you have an air leak or holding a constant pressure overnight. #3 check the compressor and pressure. Is it louder than normal or sound different?
If you don't have a code reader that can read individual sensor info, I'd definitely recommend one. Even if it's the $180 icarsoft. Pays for itself in one trip to the dealer.

I fixed my compressor for $310. That included an obdII diagnostic system (Icarsoft v.3), the air suspension relay and air compressor.
Just driving by the dealership would cost me $200.

Tks for your feedback Ken, i checked everything i could visually and used Xentry, and made a system test where it checks pressure closes each valve and checks compressor pressure too everything is within the specific values and no errors. it might have been something but can t do much before anything has a defect. Never happened again let see....Over night it never looses air the only thing the car does is when i close it with the remote it levels and lower a bit and in the morning when opening it goes a bit up again and i heaar some clicks coming from the airbag struts but it does since since i bought it.
