Airmatic Issue
Reconnectrd the battery, everything was good again for another week. The compressor would kick on but not build enough air pressure to raise the car. So every time I'd open the door or trunk the car would level itself by lowering the highest corners until eventually I got the warning "car is to low, pull over".
In my case, the compressor was shot. It would run but not build enough air pressure. Only around 100psi. It threw a code for air leaks also but it was only the compressor.
The only reason for the compressor to run continuously would be a leak, stuck relay or compressor going bad.
In your case I would #1 check the relay in the engine compartment just incase it's sticking first. #2 see if you have an air leak or holding a constant pressure overnight. #3 check the compressor and pressure. Is it louder than normal or sound different?
If you don't have a code reader that can read individual sensor info, I'd definitely recommend one. Even if it's the $180 icarsoft. Pays for itself in one trip to the dealer.
I fixed my compressor for $310. That included an obdII diagnostic system (Icarsoft v.3), the air suspension relay and air compressor.
Just driving by the dealership would cost me $200.
