Question re: U.S. CLS500 orders...
Is there an official ordering guide out yet with specific options for the U.S. CLS500? I'm particularly curious about the availability of an AMG appearance package much like the one added to the '04 E500's list of options.

AMG Sport Package Description
Your dealer should have the 06 CLS ordering guide. I have seen the guide and it does list the following as an Option for the CLS500:
Option code # 321, AMG Sport Package
This includes "18 inch AMG 5 -Double-spoke Wheeles (786), High performamce tires, Body-colored AMG-designed Sculpted Front Air Dam, Side Skirts, Rear Apron (772), Steering Wheel Mounted Gearshift Buttons (428)"
Your dealer should have up-to-date information on the availability of this package. When this package first was annonced for the E Class, it was delayed availablity but eventually made it.

Much appreciated!!! Any idea which AMG wheels these are? Are the double-spokes the same style that are on the E55?

I am not sure but I would guess something different than what one would get on the CLS55. For the E55 it came with the double-spoke, but the AMG sport package on say an E500 had a 5-spoke AMG wheel - still looks great but I think MBUSA wants them to be different to distinguish the AMG cars from the AMG "sport packaged" cars.

Actually they will either be the E55 wheels or something very similar (opinion). What I was trying to say earlier is that I think the wheels on the CLS 55 will be different than the wheels of the AMG sport package offered on other CLS models.
