I’ve completed a laundry list of repairs (thermostat, pulleys, etc. Also put a new alternator with Bosch regulator in).
But, every time I touch the “odometer reset” button, it immediately gets my cluster screen in the dash stuck to “this” (see picture).
I’ve never ran into this and have no clue where to even start. There are multiple other intermittent electrical issues that occur as well (all windows randomly stop working, climate control digital functions disappear but climate control still functions, and a few other nuances).
It also seems that my battery will not stay charged for more than a couple days, and running a parasitic draw test has resulted in not being able to find any draws (but battery is brand new, as well as alternator).
I feel like I’m missing something or just not learning enough about this system to figure out why all these electrical gremlins keep popping up).
Any thoughts, ideas, or experience from others more savvy in this group? Gauge cluster appears like this if I touch the odometer reset button. The SRS also just popped up after replacing alternator for some reason.
You had the battery disconnected and all systems powered down while doing your laundry list? After reconnecting the battery, did you use an OBD scanner to clear the error codes that were popping up?
