2008 CLS550 battery replacement procedure question
Hello All,
I recently changed the battery of my car and was wondering if I have to reset something to let the car know it has a new battery? This is a 2008 CLS550.
After I installed the new battery replacement, I did the windows reset and sunroof but not sure if there’s anything else I need to do.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

I believe all you have to do is to turn the ignition on WITHOUT stepping in the brake, and then wait 60 seconds for the SAM units and etc to reset themselves.
That’s what I just did on mine recently, and was instructed to do, because I kept having an issue with the windows not functioning and the sunroof not responding correctly.
But, even after I replaced my battery, alternator and regulator, I’m still showing up with the red battery symbol. So, I’m still at a loss and it’s hard to get responses on this forum for some reason.
