Gloss VS matt finish wood

For those who have seen the cars in person. How do you rate the difference between the glossy or matt finish wood?

I loved the matte wood when I first saw it in a Range Rover & 7-Series, and it looks fantastic in the CLS. It's more like a nice piece of furniture. The glossy wood looks fine, but I've had that in all of my cars for many years and think the matte is a nice change.

We got 3 of 'em in today. Everybody thinks the matte finish looks and feels like cheap plastic. I agree.

ash int=Matt wood
Tan int= Mat or Glossy
Black int= Glossy wood
the glossy laurel is darker then the burl check out the cls55 forum there is a thread that has a bunch of pic.s and there are both the laurel and burl to compare. or swing buy the dealership and pick up a brochure
in the book they have the beige int w/matt burl, black int. w/matt burl, black with polished laurel, thats it but it has the color blocks in the back, and FYI i went with the Black int with the Glossy Laurel Wood.

I totally agree with you. I think it all comes down to the color of the interior that you choose for the car. But then again, I don't think that this car would look bad with any of the above combinations I personally went for a loaded Black CLS 500, Cashmere Interior and Matte Wood. My car won't be here until the end of February but here is a picture of a CLS with Cashmere Leather and Matte Wood.

Me too. Instead of a shiny plastic feel it's now a dull plastic feel.
