Question AMG package Is the suspension/tranny "tweaked"

Still agonizing ;-) over final option selections. Heck about the only thing we finally have picked out is the premium package and lighting package.

May sound like a dumb question but here it goes:
Is the suspension/transmission further tuned with the AMG package or is it just an outside appearance package with thumb shifters like how it is stated in the brochure? I have driven the car for about 20 miles but dummy here didn't play with the suspension settings at all on the CLS demo. Sometimes brochures are vague and for example. when you order the Sport or M tuned packages on certain Bimmers, besides M appearance items the suspension tweaks make quite a difference in the handling aspects of the car. Thx.

i assume u are just referring to the AMG Sport Package, not the CLS55. the AMG Sport Package gives you the different lower body kit, the 18" AMG split spoke wheels, and the finger paddles (useless for the most part). So you are paying a pretty good penny for not a lot of mods. But, the sport kit makes the car, so they got you there. I went with the sport kit myself, good move i have to say...

should have clarified too, no trans or suspension mods.

If it's like the other AMG steering wheel shifters, they're on the back side of the steering wheel as viewed by the driver, or the side of the steering wheel toward the front bumper. You'd have a hard time shifting with your thumbs. I use my index and middle fingers together.
