Hello everyone. Just picked up my CLS450 4matic and the owners manual has no engine break in rules? Am i missing something or is the new M256 engine so good?
here is a picture of my spec. Ruby black, brown interior, deleted amg exterior package

Thank you for the reply. AMG are always finnicky about their break in period. I will follow that guid for now considering that the 53 and the 450 have the same engine. I was surprised i had zero mention in my manual.

Yes. AMG models have that. Non-AMG models don't require a break in routine. Of course, your welcome to follow those guidelines as a safety measure.
I believe the AMG models go through more stress and load on the engine and transmission, so its only normal to have the break-in period in place. After all, it's the same engine as your 450, just that it/s up-tuned and added the extra electric compressor between the engine/transmission.
