ECU Reset

Does anyone know if there is a process to reset the ECU on the CLS53?

If it is like previous Mercedes, resetting the ECU, resets the transmission and shifting pattern. Is this still true?

Your problem is that you are oblivious to the MB systems. The TCU adapts to your driving habits not the ECU and yes that holds true for current MY vehicles with an automatic transmission.
