Looking at 2019 CLS450 with 52K miles
Anything I need to know?
Anything I need to be looking for or looking out for?
Anything to nitpick during negotiations?

Also, Cls 450 forum is pretty dead. You can potentially ask some questions on E450 or W213 form. E and CLS pretty much the same car including car base frame. Just different design and looks. I say CLS looks more Lux/Sporty IN MY OPINION (don't want some E owners having a heart attack and change this to debate thread 😅
. I am sure there is a reason why CLS cost bit more than E.Last edited by JS-CLS550; Aug 14, 2022 at 02:30 PM.

I understand that the CLS Suspension is also tuned for a little smoother and may be better handling ride.
My wife likes the looks of the car and also likes the fact that you don't see one every day on the road.
Sounds like the 48 V battery is the only big deal right now,
But if our old E holds up long enough my try finding a 2021 we can afford since it has the MBUX interface.
We also like the bucketed rear seats since nowadays were more likely to take friends somewhere than have to deal with kids in the back.

For what it's worth, I just bought a 2019 CLS 450 with 20k miles as a CPO unit. Drove it home to DFW from Clearwater, Florida. In fact, I had not driven it before I flew to Florida to buy it. All I can say is that I LOVE this car. Ever since I used the phrase "dream car," my wife is afraid to drive it. (She was, after all, driving my Cadillac CTS when it was rear-ended and totalled. The police report says she wasn't at fault, but I can't help but remind her that it was in perfect shape when I left it in the driveway!) So, I got a lot of driver seat time in that trip. Granted, I have a lot of security in the remaining factory warranty, additional year of CPO warranty and the 2 additional years of extended warranty I rolled into the loan. So, I realize my experience might not match yours.
Guess my only advice is to scour the CarFax, highlight anything concerning back here to the group (and the E-series group as well) and otherwise don't hesitate to pull the trigger!

Might stretch the E another 6 or more months and see fi we can move up a year or two.
The E got the MBUX upgrade in 2020 but the CLS did not get it till 2021.
Given how long we drive cars, a generational change in electronics helps a lot.

I absolutely love driving my 2020 CLS 450. The only thing I find frustrating is the old school non-touchscreen infotainment center (no mBUX) and all the new devices now come with USB-C type plug in and they have the old school USB-A type, and no wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, it must be plugged in. Super small things but newer tech is a must, especially for a newer vehicle with a higher price tag.
