The AC in my 2020 CLS 450 just randomly stopped working today on a road trip. It’s already close to 90 I’m the southwest and it’s Still under warranty but MB doesn’t have appointment availability until late May. They didn’t seem too interested in my dilemma & they only provide loaners for warranty “by appointment”. I read something about resetting the climate control system but not sure if that only applies for older models. Any suggestions?

Have you spoken to the Service Manager(s) of dealership(s).

Same problem with me...no cold air and had to drive 4 hours in 107 to max of 113 degrees outside air. Darn near killed me and when I took it to the dealer it worked and has worked for a month.... I went back later and asked the Service Writer about that and he said "Well it didn't show a check engine light so there won't be anything in the computer" and that they would charge 1 hour at $230 to scan for errors. Car has 41K miles.

I went to MB Benz dealer in another city and started looking at the new cars they had available. Told the sales guy what had happened & quick like a bunny their service department called me the next morning and told me what to do in case it happened again. There IS a way to reset the climate system in newer vehicles by pressing certain buttons together. I ended up trading it in before it could happen again though, and I can’t remember for the life of me what they were…so sorry.
