CLS 20" to 21" rims and tyre upgrade
Hi all,
I would like to ask some of the members for experience with upgrading my rims and tyres from 20" to 21" keeping the same tyre height. For my car original size of my tyres is 245/35/20 and 275/30/20.
I don't see much logic in going to 21" rims and keeping lowering tyre height. I would rather stick to 20" then. Also, I found more than one pre-made (Brabus or after market) set of rims and tyres in sizes
I'm looking for, and that is 245/35/21 and 295/30/21.
Questions:
1. I'm quite sure bigger rims are heavier and also tyres, but if anyone has done something similar, is performance loss noticeable?
2. I've read somewhere that increasing the total diameter of my wheel (rim+tyre) could give me errors with 4matic, anyone?
Ty in advance.
