Drivers Window
Drivers Window
On my newly acquired 2019 CLS, I just noticed that when I lower the drivers window it stopes with about 1/2 inch of the upper back end still showing. All other windows disappear below the door sills. The drivers window works as expected, lowering when door is opened and then closes tightly. One touch also works correctly. Is this proper for this model?

Thanks for the reply. Tried the recalibration and doesn't do anything. Also, after looking at both front windows more carefully, they both leave a little of the back top edge exposed, maybe 3/8th inch then tapers to nothing about 1 1/2" forward the door lock button
Sorry to hear.
It amazes me I got no feedback from over 100 views. I guess not many CLS owners view forums or there's not a lot of problems with this car that people need help with. But anyway, I was able to check another 19 for sale at my local dealer this past Saturday. Interesting find...if you use the key to unlock and lower all windows, the drivers window disappears completely while the other 3 leave a small corner showing. If you then raise then lower the drivers window it leaves a small portion also. Does this on both cars so this must be somewhat of a normal situation. Of course the sales mgr. had no thoughts, not selling a lot of these cars and nobody questioning these occurrences.

I tried the recalibration a few times with no success then brought it into the dealer and my service advisor came out and I guess with the magic touch fixed it instantly. Forget trying to do it yourself. You know the old Murphy's Law something breaks or doesn't work when you're offsite but as soon as you drive into the dealer it works again.
