Replacement parts (exterior)

I hit a curb and damaged my front Bumper - (257-880-74-02-9999), which I need to replace. Has anyone been able to get parts like this somewhere more affordable than the dealership?

I also want to change out the grille to an AMG grille. Any idea the best place to get a good quality grille? Decent price?

There are numerous M-B dealerships that sell parts via online mail order. Their prices usually beat those at the parts counter of your local dealer. The drawback would be shipping costs. For large items like bumpers, the shipping cost would likely negate any cost savings.

If you are a Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA) member, many local dealerships offer a parts discount. The discount percentage depends on your local MBCA chapter and the agreements it has reached with the local dealers.

Do you have a good relationship with a local body shop? If so, maybe the shop can procure a bumper and/or AMG grill at a reduced price?

Other ideas......E-Bay? Again, the shipping cost and/or quality could be an issue. Lastly, try searching local salvage yards. Perhaps another CLS was rear-ended and the front bumper is still good.

oh great! Happy to hear you will order from them. I believe they have a warehouse in the US to help with shipping costs from Germany?
I have been tetering for 4 years about ordering the Panamericana grille from them. I have been hesitant only because of the Dynamic driving sensors etc and the intricacies of removing the OEM grille

my paranoia!
