CLS63TT spark plug broke
here is it my friends,
this what appened to my engine while i was smoking M6 ( LOL to that )
this happened for cyl. 5 and the pressure in it now is 30
so for sure something is broken ( valve, or head, or maybe piston ring )
the dealer didn't open the engine untill now
the other plugss also were kind of starting to look bad and ceramic part around thier pin are melting
i don't know if this plu was one of the fualty ones that has air issue in ceramic.
ONE THING FOR SURE, CAR AS DEALER SAID IS NO MORE UNDER WARRANTY. because its tuned.
sorry for bad quality pictures of the plug but they are sneaky from tech guy.

Out Of Control!!
Damn that sucksssssss. I'm sorry to tell you that you will probably news a need engine. Think about it this way, that piece that broke off has been bouncing around in the combustion chamber smashing into everything in there. Your heads, valves, pistons, cylinder walls will all be damaged. I hope i'm wrong in this case, good luck.
If they deny warranty I would make them prove the failure was due to your mods and not faulty plug.

there are already german techs here and they claim that the plugs on my car are the updated ones and now fail, but also the other plugs were melted because of the tune ( as they say ) and they are not designed for this much power.
i think these cars need 2 - 3 step colder plugs after tuned and downpipe.
i really hope valve or worst than that head and valve need to be replaced.
i hope piston or block have not been affected.

2005 E55 drowned/ 2011 CTS-v coupe gone/ 2012 E63 PP,LSD finally here
did you buy your car from this dealership? and have you bought other benzs from them in the past? the reason I ask because based on my previous experience with my old service advisor in dealing with my E55 he went out of his way to accommodate me while fully knowing I had a pulley setup along with a Renntech tune, if this is where you bought your car from and they're treating you like this you should never to business with them again

Really sorry to hear that!
Seams like the tuners should have known to use colder plugs.
I think it a given that MB would start looking for reasons to deny coverage if there is major engine damage. That is the risk we take when we tune our engines. And I am ok with that. But a spark plug! I’ll have to do some thinking on that one.
Will you tune it again?

I wonder if large engine failure issues like this where there would be a big warranty claim get more attention from Mb corporate and they will specifically ask the dealer to search for engine modifications. I would imagine in that situation it would be hard for the dealer to not comply with the directive.

This is scary Ali--- and I think you told me this was your second set of plugs no?
If so, was the first set bad or did you just swap them?
And do you think the tune played a major, minor, or any role?

That looks like classic detonation damage to me. Usually caused by excessively lean conditions, which in your case means your mods probably caused it.

Sorry to hear your having problems but it's clear this is a tune issue and not a faulty plug issue, given the odds of having another plug pulled and as described by you that it also seemed to be melting the ceramic, you should have done a small star diagnosing and made sure that you werent over the limits! I hope things work out and you get it sorted with EMC.

these have been on the car for 10k km and a tune.
im not sure if the tune cuase it because maybe when they replaced my plugs they used the old ones which had some quality issue.
from what i understand the fualty plugs had some sir issue with ceramic and this plug had ceramic poped and the other metal broken.

i will get all plugs out and take a picture of them after they are removed.
EMC are refusing to even discuss fixing it under warranty.
sucks as usual.

This is not an edition issue or a plug issue! This is a detention issue the tune is advanced and there for creat more heat and will break melt plugs, most likely the piston rings are gone, your tune is not lean as I remember from ur dyno

You know those cars are really user friendly the star diagnoses would quickly show any knocking if any and it's only one drive away, my tuner doesn't hand me over the car without double checking, I changed my plugs but they looked nothing close to this! Its east to get power from advancing the timing but they bite back hard.
