MB Factory Promo

Coming from Germany to the US in 1990, I had to leave my beloved MB 230 there (too much trouble converting to US specs), but brought my '71 VW Beetle Convertible with me (still running strong after 340,000 kms !). Last year we leased a 2004 MB C 230 Kompressor, and have been very happy with the vehicle so far, after not-so-good experiences with an Audi A4 Avant quattro and a VW Jetta VR6.

I started buying factory promos during my trips back to the "fatherland", and now have a rather sizeable collection of factory promos from Audi to VW. MB is a large portion of this, and you can see most of the models in our webstore at http://store.yahoo.com/europromo-store/forfacprom.html.

If you are looking for any specific models, I have pretty good connections to various MB dealers in Germany.

Hi Tom,
I placed an order for 3 various MB 1/18 scale models.
Please let me know of any close-outs / special price sales on 1/18 scale Mercedes-Benz models. Thanks !

LOL !! Thank you. Seriously.

and thanks to U-Coat-It
as seen on SPEED Channel on Two Guys Garage a couple of years ago.

it took 4 days of do-it-yourself work, but everyone who has seen it / stepped on it, says it's professional type quality. I say it's just a great product. Highly recommended !

thanks again !

yeah, post away with pics,
and list the specific details of the models that you have, since there are so many variations, specially of the DTM / CLK-GTR / and older SLR racing models.

Pics with details

1. Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM '00. i don't know anything about this, i just needed a racer to my colection before i got the formula 1 car. The scala model is from maisto.
2.Mercedes-Benz SSK '38. The first not-italiy car, that won the legendary Mille Miglia race. The scale model is from Bburago.
3.Mercedes-Benz 300 SL "Gullwing" '54. A highdetailed scala model from Minichamps, as i used desperat weeks to get! and finaly i did found a fabric-new one on the internet, after that i've tryed to get various of second-hand models on the internet, i got it sended to my door on my birthday. great timing, so i love that car because the way i got it
4. Kimi Räikkönen's first victory, at Malaysia Gran Prix 23 May 2003. Only made in 2.220 pices. Very rare, and very detailed.
5. Mercedes-Benz SL 500 and SL 55 AMG. The AMG is from Maisto, not that sepcial, and the SL500 is from avery cheap brand called Max Auto, but i love it because it's my dream car, and because of it's vario roof :p
I got about 30 other cars, but they are not Mercedes-Benzs. One of them is very, very rare Porsche 356B Coupé '62, from Bburago. It's made on a special wood plate. It was my first model-car. And i got two old Ford fire engines, with a special 24 karat gold platted coin, they got so manny details and gadges, that they need to stay in the box. The ladder is made of real wood and the rear axel turs when the wheel turs. pretty impressive
I can send a picture when i get my Mercedes-Benz 180 Ponton, if you want?

(Sorry bout the quallity of the pictures. Got some problems because they filled too much, so i had to change them in the quallity )

My mercs got their own cupboard, with light, at my desk. But i got no space, for the new ordered, 180 Ponton. I'm thinking about to set it by the side of the Gullwing, or the SSK. I had actually bought the 180 ponton, but when i came home i'd saw that someone has smashed a finger, down through the box, and crashed the star, and the steeingwheel (Sorry i couldent figure out to edit the ugly wall off, Lol)

1. Damn.. How many MegaPixels do do your camera have. I got 5.0 and thought it was the best, but when i see your pictures it seems like you have 30 Megapixels!
2. You don't play with modelcars scale 1:18. Especially not when you got those rare, and expensive exemplaries :p
3. Damn! You got my ordered 180 Ponton!
4. Nice Ride Holmes!! C Sportscoupé rules!

Patrick,
is there any way, you can add extra glass shelves to that cupboard ?
It seems you could probably fit almost twice as many models, if you could add a few more shelves in between the spaces. The cupboard has plenty of room, just not enough glass shelves.

1. LOL. Actually, my camera also has 5.0 MegaPixels, it's a SONY Mavica MVC-CD500. It uses the 156MB 8cm CD's and can take movie video too.
I use a high resolution to take many of my pics, then just size them down without affecting image quality using IrFanView or Photoshop.

2. I have a few more I need to let loose and play with. I am very careful with my models, but it is tempting to play with them every once in a while.

3. That 180 Ponton is from Revell. Very nice model.

4. I love my C SportsCoupé. Never selling it, so it's my little baby of the Benz Collection.

I bid on the Kimi - Malaysia / McLaren F1 on eBay a few days ago,

and I forgot it ended tonight. I went back to check and the winning bid was only $17.99.

Oh well, I'm sure there will be another one on eBay soon enough.
Also, looking for the 2 Mercedes-Benz A-Class F1 Driver Cars
(Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard) with the West McLaren Livery on the cars.

Looking for three 1:43

This thread has been napping too long. I am looking for three cars in 1:43 hopefully in correct colors but...

I have prowled eBay for the past several months with no luck. I think my best bet will be to just buy everything in the future incase I actually buy a used one later. These are for cars that I had but no longer have.

W202 Sedan Blue
W210 Sedan Black
W208 Coupe Red

Any help would be appreciated
