Edition 1 Bermeister
Although I don't see a lot of info in the owner's manual, the car evidently has the base Burmeister audio system. No hard drive to burn CDs to and only a single disc player after finally finding the load slot in the cup holder compartment. The question is, has anyone found a base and treble control anywhere? I have not and even old AM/FM radios had them. Am I missing something? Is the system pre-tuned?
Thanks

Are there no settings accessible via the COMAND interface?
Straight from the manual:
Calling up the sound menu
You can select various sound settings while in radio mode or another media mode. It is possible to set more bass for radio mode than for audio CD mode, for example. The respective sound menu can be called up from the menu bar of the desired mode.
Switch to radio mode.
or
Activate media mode.
To switch to the menu bar: slide the controller.
To select Sound : turn and press the controller.
The menu appears with the last setting accessed, e.g. Sound profile.
Overview of Burmester® high-end surround sound system
Equaliser: Sets: treble, mid-range and bass
Balance: Adjusts the volume: left/right
VIP & BAL selection: Optimises sound playback for individual seats
Sound profile: Four defined sound settings: PURE/ EASY LISTENING/ LIVE/SURROUND

More specifically:
Setting treble, mid-range, and bass
1) Call up the sound menu.
2) Turn the controller until Equaliser is in the centre.
3) Slide the controller.
4) Rotary menus for treble, mid-range and bass are activated.
5) To switch between the rotary menus: slide or the controller.
6) To make the desired Equaliser settings: turn the controller.
7) Rotary menus show the set values.
8) To return to the menu: slide the controller.
9) To return to the basic menu: press the button briefly.
