Just got my GT-S
Just saying hello traded in my S550 Coupe (6 months old, fantastic car, yes not a smart financial decision but here we are) for a new GT S yesterday.
HA! This car is just all grins! Did not expect it to be this much fun, and in reality I'm surprised at the price (bang-for-the-buck, odd as it sounds).
I've been fortunate to have owned over 50 cars over the years (some track-only, some very expensive) and this one is going to the top 5 list. Hope is not just the honeymoon period.
No questions yet everything seems simple and predictable. Will play with the custom setting later not sure its necessary.
Driving it home on the highway turned the dial too far to the right and thought a Harley suddenly got on my *** then I realized it was my ***.
Cheers, and looking to learn from this forum.

Top 5? Good question. Covering over 30 years. In no particular order based on fun factor alone (not power, price, looks, etc):
997 GT3
NSX
Radical SR 3
Lambo Gallardo
Mazda RX-7 Gen III
993 C2
Audi R8 V10 manual
Hard to pick just 5, wish I had kept some of the above ones though!
* Every single time I start the car (regardless of whether it was locked before or not) the center displays the "dont forget your key" message that I am used to after placing other MBs in Park. But this is at start, and the wheel buttons are dead. So far the only way I've found to get it into normal is to toggle the drive mode from C to something else.
This should be a fresh car since I got it off the delivery truck one would hope software is up to date.
* There was this canvas item on the trunk which I thought was a gift umbrella or such just opened it today and it is a mesh version of the more solid cover for the rear. Is there a point? Wind noise? Just curious as to why use one at all, and then what is the difference between the solid vs. mesh one.
The above are trivial, this one more important but maybe more general than this MB:
* The tire pressure recommendation on the driver door sticker is significantly (5 psi+) different than the sticker on the gas door. Which one is right and why the difference? Our GL has the same disparity.
Thanks in advance.

The rear canvas "thingy" is probably to cover up items in the trunk but my rear is tinted so it doesn't serve a purpose. I don't think its a functional item for wind noise though.
I use the door jam and manual suggestions which is 36 front and 39 cold psi.
Edit: the gas door says 36/39 too depending on your terminal speeds LOL--- if over 155 then run 36/39 if under then its like 31/33 or whatever. I just run 36/39 to ensure rim safety if I ever hit a pothole.

As far as the tire pressure...mine came with the higher pressures. However I might try the lower ones to see to what extent it ameliorates a too stiff ride.
