Noises... Ugh
My car was in for the noise in the right rear of the car. They cleaned and lubricated the bushings and caps. The car was gone for one week. I got it back and the noise is much worse than before. I can't stand to drive it. The noise is obnoxious and constant. The car goes back Tuesday and I will take the shop foreman for a ride so he hears what I hear. I told them about the strut replacement and they were not to interested. Wish me luck.
Dealers response. "We can't fix nothing til we hear it!"
Although I understand, they didn't even bother to troubleshoot despite the clicking noise sounding like a faulty fuel pump...with the exception of driving the car for 100 miles (no kidding) and coming back shrugging their shoulders with the tank at empty.

So i developed a constant interior creaking noise from the right rear of my GTS. The dealer had it for a day and is going to replace the right rear strut. I have not dropped it off to have that work performed yet, but I noticed now it's a creak and a squeak ever since they messed around with it. I cannot make it stop, and it gets worse in S+. It's ruining my driving experience.
Loud music doesn't help, I can still hear it... Non stop.
To make matters worse, I can now hear wind noise from my window at anything above 60mph. Kill me.
The sound is like two plastic or rubber pieces constantly rubbing against each other. I've had two separate shops also look at it, and they cannot figure it out either. I really don't think replacing the strut will help.

I hope you're wrong! I have one more noise to go and she'll be perfect.
Hopefully my GT-R will be built better

The car was back in this week. The big noise was a latch in the rear hatch. They did hear another noise in the back of the car. They have ordered a new rear strut and will install it. The service writer said Mercedes controls the flow of fixes. They can be stubborn in Deutschland. Hopefully this gets me down to one or two creaks and noises. I would normally trade the car in and move on, but I want to give this GTs some more time.
I understand this can be frustrating when you buy a car at this price to have those issues but it is a brand new model and first year cars always have issues regardless of the manufacturer.
As long as MB Headquarters and the dealer are taking care of the issues the right way, then I feel the hate some people are portraying about the car is a somewhat unfounded.
If the P fanboys can handle a motor replacement on a brand new 911GT3 then I think we should be able to deal with noises...
AHI: do you mind sharing pics and your thoughts on the Renntech coils?

Ok picked up the car after having turbotonees fix.... Got rid of the small metal noise, but now I have an even bigger metal noise, like a piece of metal is rattling on another piece of metal. Mostly in Sport+, and bumpy roads. It's loud too. This one I cannot stand, at all.
Sum it up. Dropped off to the dealer to fix unbearable noise #1, got the car back with noise 1, but they added noise 2. Noise 1 was fixed when right rear strut was replaced. Noise 2 remained. Dropped it back off with the fix turbotonee posted to get rid of 2, which I think worked, but now I have a 10 time louder noise 3.
They did fix my wind noise coming from the drivers window.
Kill me.

What's strange is that dealer didn't hear that louder noise on test drive after.
The good news is that it's easier to find source of 10x noise than a smaller buzz or creak at least. Hopefully this is last one Ahi.

That is really frustrating to hear that the dealer cannot fix this the first time around. It does not look like an edition 1 so I wonder when this car was made. You would think that after a year of production, MB would get it right.
Sounds like his dealer truly cares, which is surprising really.
They do care. Great dealer. Mercedes Benz of Maple. They even gave me their AMG tech for 45 mins while we drove the car together to figure out the noises.
After 3-4 days, I cannot get it to make that new noise anymore.
So for now, I'm 100% good.

Any details on how the dealer got rid of the wind noise? I have having this issue as well. Thanks!

So I loved the GTR, and I was tentatively planning on ordering it...but all these complaints of noises are making me wonder if I should get a Porsche instead....

Is the noise something you can capture on video with good audio? Just want to hear what this "noise" is that you have.
